Prebbleton Hotel 5-a-side

Established in 2004 by and run by local publician and club founder Shannon Gilmore until 2024 to provide year round football for the community. In 2024 the competiton moved from Prebbleton Reserve to Kakaha Park and is now operated in association with the Prebbleton Football Club.

Season dates

All games will be played at Kakaha Park, Birches Road on Tuesday evenings. 

Seniors (17+) 

  • 21 October 2025 - 9 December 2025 - 8 rounds and 20 January 2026 - 3 March 2026 - 7 rounds

Juniors (age brackets 4-6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16)

  • 21 October 2025 - 9 December 2025 - 8 rounds and 3 February 2026 - 3 March 2026 - 5 rounds

Games times 

Games times are subject to changes, depending on the number of teams entered in each grade. All junior games are 30 minutes - 15 mins each way, with no half time break. Game will be confirmed once team numbers are finalised.

  • Juniors age 4-6 - play at 5.30pm on the small junior fields with the occassional cross-over friendly with a year 7-8 team
  • Juniors age 7-8 - play at 5.30pm, on larger fields
  • Juniors age 9-10 - play at 6.10pm 
  • Juniors age 11-12 play at 5.30pm
  • Juniors age 13-14 - play at 6.10pm

All senior games are 40 minutes - 20 mins each way with no half time break. 

Seniors - play at 6.50pm 

Some grades may have a BYE so check the draw each week. Games will be played on Canterbury Anniversary Day (Cup Day).

We have a duty of care to all members and visitors. As such, all players, supporters, visitors and associates must agree to abide by the PFC Code of Conduct. This upholds the principles and values of our Club.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the club communicate? During the season mosly by email and Facebook. 

Do we need to have a mix of male and female players?

All senior teams must have a minimum of one female player on field at all times. Junior teams can be mixed, or all female or all male. 

Do we supply referees?

Each team needs to provide a referee and be prepared to referee at least half a game. Due to the number of teams entering the competition, we cannot provide referees for games. Juniors - maybe ask one of the older players to referee and agree a koha! 

Do we need to supply a team Manager?

Yes, all teams must have someone nominated to recieve communications and be the main point of contact. 

Do we need to supply a Coach?

There is no formal coaching, only games. We will leave it up to individual teams to organise their own training sessions. 

Are there proper games or is it more a run-around/drills?

All 5-aside sessions are games. There are no drills or training sessions, but you are welcome to organise your own.  Rules can be found on this page

Do we need to purchase your t-shirts? 

Teams supply their own team tops or use our bibs.There are bibs available each week if you have two teams with the same colour tops playing each other. Numbers on the tops are not essential.
