2026 Junior Mixed Grades
Prebbleton Football Club enters all 10th - 14th grade teams in the Mainland Competition in the Mixed Juniors.
Registration
Registrations for the 2026 Winter Season will open in February.
Entering the right grade
Our mixed junior grades are for all children who are turning age 10 to 13 in 2026. It's important that children are entered into the correct grade for their age. After reading the information below, if you are still unsure which grade to enter please contact us admin@prebbletonfootball.co.nz
10th and 11th Grade
Children who turn 10 in 2026 should register in the 10th grade and children who are turning 11 should register in the 11th grade.
Children who turn 10 any time from October to December 2026 can choose to play in the 10th grade or enter our Fun Football. Chilldren who turn age 11 in October to December 2026 can choose to play in the 10th or the 11th grade.
Games are played on Saturday mornings on a junior field in a seven aside format. Games are 50 mintues in duration (two 25 minute halves). Games are the same time each week and may be scheduled at our home fields at Kakaha Park, or at other fields around Canterbury. A size 4 ball is used.
12th and 13th Grade
Children who turn 12 in 2026 should register in the 12th grade and children who are turning 13 should register in the 13th grade.
Children who turn 12 in October to December 2026 can choose to play in the 11th or 12th grade. Chilldren who turn age 13 in October to December 2026 can choose to play in the 12th or the 13th grade.
Games are played on Saturday mornings on an intermediate field in a nine aside format. Games are 50 mintues in duration (two 25 minute halves) for 12th and 60 minutes (two 30 minute halves) for 13th. Games are the same time each week and may be scheduled at our home fields at Kakaha Park, or at other fields around Canterbury. A size 4 ball is used.
Training and games
Training for our junior grades will start in April with games starting late April. The season ends in September. All teams will have a coach and manager. Trainings are all held at Kakaha Park, Birches Road, Prebbleton.
Communication
We will set up WhatsApp groups for all of our teams so we can share important information. General information is posted on our Facebook page and we send regular e-newsletters throughout the season.
Uniform
All players must play in a the correct Club playing top. We will provide playing tops for all players (these are returned at the end of each season). Players provide their own black shorts, socks, shin pads (compulsory) and football boots (no metal cleats). You can buy official PFC gear through our gear store. There are also hoodies and jackets available and supporters gear. It is not compulsory to purchase PFC gear however players must wear black shorts.
